Tip of the day- WATER
Everyone knows that water is essential to our well being, after all we are comprised any where between 55-78% of it! Among the many benefits, water acts as a detoxifier, aids in metabolism, provides lubrication to our joints, transports nutrients and oxygen into our cells, regulates body temperature, and protects vital organs.
TIP- your body can only absorb 500ml of water every hour so spread out your water consumption over the course of the day. Don't guzzle back a whole bottle at one time as you will undoubtedly quench your thirst, but you won't hydrate your tissues. If you have a hard time drinking enough water in your day, start by drinking it at room temperature. It is much easier as your body doesn't have to cool it down and use excess energy. Also, remember that you need to keep those electrolytes in balance to ensure maximal absorption of water into the tissues.
